The Bermuda Tourism Authority will host its first international partner summit on-island in several years, bringing leading figures from the global travel and aviation industries to Hamilton.

The 2025 Bermuda International Partner Summit, themed “Unlocking Bermuda’s Future: Partnership, Renewal, Growth”, will take place from October 19 to 22 at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club.

The invitation-only event aims to deepen Bermuda’s travel trade relationships and renew its appeal as a premier destination. It will bring together international tour operators, airline holiday representatives, online travel agents and travel trade leaders, alongside Bermuda’s hoteliers and on-island partners.

“This summit is about collaboration and reconnection,” said Erin Wright, the acting chief executive of the BTA. “The BTA is bringing together global and local partners to strengthen relationships, align around shared goals and showcase Bermuda’s unique product to the world.”

Among the featured speakers are Alisha Prakash, associate editorial director at Travel + Leisure, Scott Mayerowitz, founder of GlobeTrotScott Strategies and former executive editor at The Points Guy, Olivier Ponti, director of intelligence and marketing at ForwardKeys, and Dona Regis-Prosper, secretary-general of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation.

A panel on “The State of the Airline Industry”, moderated by David Appleby, of Aviation Services Management, will include senior executives from JetBlue, Skyport Bermuda and BermudAir.

The summit will also include training sessions led by Expedia Group to help local hotel partners optimise inventory and enhance their global visibility.

Jamari Douglas, the BTA’s vice-president of marketing, public relations and communications, said the event would strengthen crucial industry connections: “Our travel trade partners are key connectors between Bermuda and global travellers. Bringing them here allows them to experience the island first-hand and strengthen the pathways that drive new visitors and long-term value for our community.”

The event will showcase developments such as the anticipated 25 per cent boost in room inventory from the Grotto Bay and Fairmont Southampton redevelopments, as well as other new tourism products.

Receptions for international delegates will be hosted by The Loren and Cambridge Beaches.
