A section of Palmetto Road will be closed to all traffic on Monday, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment announced.
A spokesman said the road would shut at The Glebe Road Bridge to facilitate a cement pour for ongoing bridge repairs.
Work in the area, originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday, will commence at 9.30am.
The road is expected to reopen before the Monday evening rush hour.
Motorists should detour via Marsh Folly Road, North Shore Road and Bishop Spencer Road.
Questions about the closure can be directed to Bernard Kunst, general manager of Sunrise Construction, at 541-3387.
