Vasco da Gama celebrated their first win of the season after thrashing hosts Hamilton Parish 6-0 in the First Division at Wellington Oval on Sunday.

Lucas DeSilva Marcal led the charge for Vasco with two goals, while Kevin Aruda, Milton Correia, Ludtero Soares and Kyshon Burgess also got on the scoresheet.

Elsewhere, Somerset Trojans and Southampton Rangers extended their unbeaten start to the league campaign.

Trojans prevailed 3-1 in a West End derby against hosts Somerset Eagles at White Hill Field.

Jaire Shields, Keezai Cann and Jayden Ratteray-Smith were on target for Trojans, while their former player Zico Saltus-Seymour replied for Eagles, who suffered their first league loss of the season.

Rangers came away with an equally comfortable 4-1 win over ten-man Wolves at Bernard Park.

Jahnai Bean, Ellington Weldon Jr, Dominique Hill and Donte Brangman (penalty) accounted for the away side’s goals, while Antonio Wade scored a consolation for Wolves, who had goalkeeper Lejuan Matthews sent off in the 89th minute.

The match between unbeaten hosts Robin Hood and St David’s Warriors slated for Devonshire Rec last Friday night was not played after a St David’s request to have the game postponed was approved by the Bermuda Football Association’s Competitions Committee.
