Andrew Murdoch, the Governor, was presented this week with the insignia of the Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George by King Charles III.

Mr Murdoch called it an honour and privilege to attend Windsor Castle to receive the honour from the King.

He said: “I found the experience very humbling as I discovered why others were receiving their honours.

“Some were household names, such as Sir David Beckham, who was so modest at what he achieved, while many others have worked out of the spotlight serving their communities with distinction.

“I want to acknowledge all those that have supported me on my own journey. I thank you all for your help, advice and encouragement.”

The Order of St Michael and St George is presented for extraordinary non-military service to Britain, or important and loyal service related to foreign or Commonwealth affairs.
