Bermuda to host Caribbean Tourism Organisation meeting
Tourism stakeholders from across the Caribbean are to come to Bermuda next year as the island hosts a meeting of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation.
A spokeswoman for the Ministry of Tourism, Transport, Culture and Sport said that the CTO will hold its 2026 Spring Meeting and Industry Forum at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club between February 22 and 25.
CTO represents 25 Dutch, English and French-speaking member countries along with private-sector allies.
The spokeswoman said: “The 2026 Spring Meeting and Industry Forum will spotlight a critical theme — regional air connectivity — a strategic priority that shapes the development, accessibility and competitiveness of Caribbean tourism.
“The event will convene key stakeholders, including government officials, airline executives, tourism leaders and private-sector partners, to explore innovative solutions and actionable strategies to strengthen connectivity across the region.”
Owen Darrell, the Minister of Tourism, Transport, Culture and Sport, joined a Bermudian delegation at a CTO meeting this month to discuss topics including cruise and airlift development, technology and innovation, resilience financing and the modernisation of Caribbean tourism strategies.
Mr Darrell said: “I was proud to present Bermuda as a premier destination renowned for its world-class facilities and hospitality.
“We look forward to welcoming CTO members and showcasing our island’s beauty and vibrancy.
“This event will unite tourism stakeholders, business leaders and community advocates to drive meaningful dialogue on air service development and regional growth.”
