St George’s will light up this New Year’s Eve for the annual Onion Drop, which will be accompanied by live music, treats and a drone show.

Tre Maxwell, chief executive of Navigate Drone Light Shows, said that the spectacle will feature a variety of Bermuda, New Year’s and St George’s inspired elements to wow the crowd.

Mr Maxwell said: “People can expect a really colourful, eye-catching drone show in the sky, flying at around 400 feet.

“We’ll be flying 125 drones for this one, and it’s been something we’ve been planning and prepping for over the past few months.

“We’re super excited to see how the crowd reacts — especially since this will be the first time a drone show has ever taken place in St George’s.”

Mr Maxwell added that the company was taking bookings and looking forward to a busy 2026.
