We need a referendum on Caricom
Dear Sir,
As we kick off 2026, let’s revisit concerns about Caricom. It’s time we demand a referendum. On how our taxes are being used, they’re using the people’s money.
The reality is, the older generations won’t be around forever to help. Grandparents are becoming grandparents before they’re 50 and are struggling to make ends meet themselves. The struggle is real, and it’s getting worse for families.
We need to look out for the younger generations coming up — they’re the ones who’ll be running things in the next ten years. Let’s not leave them with a mess.
The outlook for 2026 doesn’t look good.
Let’s not shoot the messenger, let’s listen to the message. These people are smooth talkers with a sweet tongue we need to stay focused. We pay our taxes, so we demand a referendum!
Caricom: what’s in it for us?
What are the benefits of being members? We need transparency on:
· Economic gains for our community
· Support for local families and businesses
· Improvements to our infrastructure and services
And what about job opportunities? If they can apply for the same job as us, what guarantees do we have for local hiring priorities.
We deserve answers. Demand a referendum, and let our voices be heard. We all need to come together.
God help us all!
