‘Bermuda is calling’: InStyle beauty director highlights island
InStyle magazine has highlighted Bermuda as a destination for mothers-to-be after the publication’s beauty director visited the island.
Lauren Valenti wrote about her recent “babymoon” in Bermuda, in a story published in the monthly on Sunday. She highlighted a variety of excursions as well as where she stayed and a variety of outfits.
The play on “honeymoon” ahead of giving birth is among family-milestone travel events promoted for the island by the Bermuda Tourism Authority.
Ms Valenti wrote: “I’d always assumed it was part of the Caribbean but it’s actually a subtropical region all its own.
“The island is best known for its pink-sand beaches, colourful houses, fish sandwiches, cozy old pubs and 100,000-plus-year-old caves — all of which we happily explored in between luxuriating at our hotel, the Rosewood Bermuda, and its Sense Spa.”
Ms Valenti praised the amenities at Rosewood and discussed local landmarks including St George’s, Warwick Long Bay and the Crystal Caves.
She ended the article: “If you’re planning a winter escape — or an expectant couple looking for a babymoon locale — trust me, Bermuda is calling.”
Ms Valenti also posted about her visit to the island in December on Instagram, including pictures from Rock Island Coffee, Tobacco Bay, Tom Moore’s Tavern and other popular local sites.
