Bermudian Sergio Lottimore has been made senior vice-president head of speciality reinsurance at Hamilton Re, two years after joining the firm.

Mr Lottimore recently announced the new position on his LinkedIn page.

Hamilton Re is the Bermudian-based insurance and reinsurance underwriting platform of Hamilton Insurance Group. Its speciality reinsurance division has a wide remit, covering accident and health, aviation, satellite, and crisis management, among other things.

He joined the company, based in Pitts Bay Road, Hamilton, in November 2024 as vice-president and head of speciality reinsurance at the launch of the firm’s credit, bond and political risk reinsurance offerings.

Mr Lottimore has experience in mortgage, trade credit, surety, political risks and structured credit lines.

He was previously vice-president, financial lines underwriter at Validus Reinsurance Ltd.
