Radix Insurance Linked Strategies, the multiline reinsurance partner, continues to build out its team with two new hires.

Nicolas Plianthos is on board as chief operating officer and Claire Niederberger is joining the Radix ILS engineering team.

A LinkedIn notice quoted the company: “Nicolas joins us following an impressive tenure at Marsh Management Services (Bermuda) Ltd, where he most recently served as senior vice-president. A veteran of the Bermuda market, Nicolas brings unparalleled expertise in ILS and commercial insurance operations.

Also on LinkedIn, Mr Plianthos reflected on his 18 years with Marsh Bermuda. He was part of the International Advisory Services team that moved over when Marsh acquired IAS.

He will be responsible for scaling and optimising the firm’s ILS and reinsurance operating platform.

Radix ILS said: “As we continue to scale our reinsurance platform, Nicolas’s deep experience as a trusted adviser and his proven track record in leading complex re/insurance administration will be vital in driving our operational excellence.”

Ms Niederberger, the company said, brings extensive experience in full-stack development and visual design.

“With a background from the Rhode Island School of Design, she possesses a unique ability to bridge the gap between complex engineering and intuitive design, which is a core component of our mission to build modern reinsurance infrastructure.

Radix creates direct investment opportunities in insurance transactions and related markets for the company and partners.

The founding team has deep experience in operating many kinds of insurance vehicles, having done business across the Lloyd’s and Bermuda markets, in specialty insurance, reinsurance, collateralised reinsurance and securities issuance.

The team is building a digital-first approach to managing reinsurance risk, improving transaction efficiency for their insureds, intermediaries and capital partners.
