Town hall meeting on jury reform takes place this week

Residents have been invited to a community meeting about jury reform this week as the Government continues its call for public feedback on the topic.
Proposals include reducing the number of jurors needed for trials, raising the maximum eligible age for jury service and increasing the amount of compensation offered to jurors.
The meeting will be presented by the Attorney-General’s Chambers and hosted by the Southampton Parish Council.
It will be held at Vernon Temple AME Church in Southampton from 6.30pm on Thursday.
