The Bermuda National Trust will celebrate Valentine’s Day this weekend with its annual plant and bake sale at Waterville on Pomander Road.

The event, scheduled to take place between 8.30am and noon tomorrow, will feature a range of produce, baked goods and plants on sale to benefit the BNT’s work to protect Bermuda’s heritage.

Dörte Horsfield, the head of development and engagement at BNT, said: “It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Bermuda’s natural beauty, promote sustainable practices, enhance home gardens and enjoy delicious homemade treats.

“All plants and baked goods are donated, and we are deeply grateful to the local nurseries, private growers, farmers and bakers whose generosity makes this event possible.”

For plant lovers, the sale will feature a variety of bedding annuals, native species, succulents, orchids and rare trees and shrubs with gardening experts on hand to offer advice.

Locally grown fruits and vegetables, home-made preserves, honey and freshly cut flowers will also be available.

Guests are encouraged to bring reusable bags to support the charity’s sustainability efforts, while parking will be available at the Bridge Club on Pomander Road.
