Gathering to explore lessons lingering from 1965 riots

Anniversary echoes: rival sides in an historical riot discuss what was learnt during that time (File photograph by Akil Simmons)

Members of the public are invited to explore what was learnt from historical 1965 riots at the Bermuda Industrial Union today.

The free event at EF Gordon Hall is a follow-up to a gathering at Devonshire Recreation Club on February 2, exactly 51 years after the Belco riots.

Educator Nekesha Holdipp and activist Glenn Fubler will facilitate the BIU gathering, to run from 5.30pm to 7pm, further exploring lessons from the clash.
