Some of Bermuda’s best music teachers came together last week to give a free concert at Wesley Methodist Church.

Yuki Furqan and Anssi Saarinen performed on the piano while Dan Turcan and Narek Darbinyan played violin and Isabella Moniz sang. The musicians all teach at the Bermuda School of Music.

Donations from concert-goers went to the school’s bursary programme, which provides financial assistance to students who could not otherwise afford lessons.

The next free concert will be on June 12 at Wesley Methodist Church but the BSM is also staging its Suzuki Gala Concerts at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Bermuda High School on May 6 and its Bermuda Chamber Music Festival on May 21 and May 23.
