Hunt on for new Bermuda Hotel Association CEO
The chief executive of the Bermuda Hotel Association will retire in July — exactly 12 years after he started in the role.
Stephen Todd told The Royal Gazette he would finish his tenure at the end of that month assuming a successor had been found.
“I told my board at my AGM that I’ll retire on July 28,” he said, adding that he would turn 72 a couple of weeks before. “We have started the recruitment process.”
An advertisement for the CEO position was placed by Expertise Group last week, with a May 26 deadline for applications.
The advert describes the BHA as the “unified voice of Bermuda’s hotel and hospitality sector, representing member interests and playing a central role in shaping tourism outcomes and national economic performance”.
Candidates are required to have ten or more years of senior leadership in hospitality, tourism, destination marketing organisations or a closely related sector.
Mr Todd said he was looking forward to spending time with family, including his grandchildren, in his retirement.
