Alex Brogden joins InEvo Re as CUO
Alex Brodgen has joined Bermuda life reinsurer InEvo Re as chief underwriting officer.
Mr Brogden joins from Monument Re, another Bermudian-based life reinsurer, where he worked for more than nine years, most recently as group chief underwriting officer. He initially joined the company in 2017, as chief financial officer.
In a LinkedIn post, Mr Brodgen said: “A few days in and it’s very impressive, even more than I was hoping for — the team is exceptional, and having Macquarie as shareholder provides a truly outstanding platform to build from.
“I'm looking forward to getting stuck in — growing the business, structuring innovative solutions and building strong, long-term partnerships with clients.”
Macquarie Asset Management, which, according to its website, manages around $509 billion of global assets including investments across infrastructure, renewable energy, agriculture and real estate, launched InEvo Re in Bermuda in March 2005.
It started business with an agreement with a UK insurer to reinsure its pension risk transfer liabilities.
In September 2025, InEvo entered the US market with an agreement to reinsure approximately $1 billion of long-dated liabilities of a US life insurer.
And in December 2025, InEvo completed its third reinsurance transaction, with a UK life insurer, strengthening its position in the UK PRT reinsurance market.
