Police called on the public today to help with their investigation into a marine incident which resulted in the death of a powerboat pilot.

Rickai Raynor, 28, died in a crash which happened at about 3.45pm on Sunday in Hamilton Harbour, in the area of the Lower Ferry site in Paget when he competed in an event.

The Bermuda Police Service urged anyone who may have recordings of the race to come forward.

Earlier, police said the powerboat pilot sustained a life-threatening head injury and was left unresponsive.

He was attended to at the scene by EMTs, but was subsequently pronounced dead by an on-call medical doctor.
