Motorcyclist sustains serious head injury after East End crash

A motorcyclist suffered a serious head injury in a St George’s crash, police confirmed this afternoon.

The Bermuda Police Service said that a 65-year-old man was riding west on Mullet Bay Road at about 2.45pm yesterday when he hit a roadside wall.

Emergency response personnel took the rider to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where he was receiving treatment for a serious head injury.

Traffic was restricted to a single lane for about two hours as the scene was processed.

An investigation into the incident was started and anyone with information or who saw the crash was asked to contact Police Constable Shafiyah Thomas on 295-0011 or to e-mail shafiyah.thomas@bps.bm.
