Speeding driver disqualified
Speeding twice on North Shore Road proved costly for a 25-year-old Devonshire man.
Timothy Rogers was hit in the pocket and banned from operating any motor vehicle for six months at Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Rogers was caught on the same road in Hamilton Parish on two separate occasions last year.
On April 16 he was clocked driving at 75km/h, resulting in a $450 fine and seven points on his licence; and on November 29 he was caught by police driving at 69km/h, landing him a further $390 fine and six additional points.
Magistrate Craig Attridge said he had little option but to issue a ban.
He added: “You now have 13 points — I’m required to disqualify you from driving all vehicles for the next six months.”
