Tanisha Butler launches boutique legal practice
Tanisha Butler has launched a boutique law practice with a focus on meeting the legal needs of “everyday Bermudians”.
Attorney Ms Butler said Roseum Legal and Consulting Services is dedicated to providing trusted legal counsel and strategic consulting services to individuals, small businesses, agencies, and community organisations.
The firm’s practice areas include civil and criminal litigation, landlord/tenant, property disputes, family, employment, and estate planning matters.
“I think there is a niche in the market for providing legal services to everyday Bermudians and small businesses in the community,” Ms Butler told The Royal Gazette.
She said that at the heart of the firm’s mission is a commitment to advocate with fearless compassion for those who need it most.
Recognising that every client’s circumstances are unique, Ms Butler intends to take a personalised approach to understanding each matter and delivering thoughtful, effective representation.
She added that she was searching for suitable office space and would look to add staff as the firm expands.
Ms Butler is experienced in litigation, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution. She was called to the Bermuda bar in 2021.
Ms Butler received a degree in paralegal studies in Orlando, Florida in 2004 and went on to gain experience in property, family and foreclosure work in the US before she returned to Bermuda in 2014 and joined law firm Marshall Diel & Myers.
She went on to work for MJM Ltd and then Chancery Legal Ltd, where she was director of litigation.
Ms Butler aims to partner with businesses and organisations through professional consulting services in an ever-evolving legal landscape. Her vision is for Roseum to be a client-centred practice built on integrity, accessibility, and excellence.
“Launching Roseum Legal & Consulting Services is the realisation of a vision rooted in faith, perseverance, and service,” Ms Butler said in a press release. “My goal is to provide every client with compassionate, practical, and results-oriented legal support while making a meaningful contribution to the community I am privileged to serve.”
The firm’s name holds deep personal significance. Roseum, a Latin word meaning rose-coloured or pink, was chosen in loving memory of Ms Butler’s late daughter, Tajua, affectionately known as “Pink”.
She also dedicates this milestone to her two children, Taiej and Tjaia, whose unwavering love, encouragement, and support have sustained her throughout her academic and professional journey.
Ms Butler credits her faith and God’s grace for guiding her to this new chapter.
She added: “I also want to thank my investors, who put their faith in me. I could not have done this alone.”
