Gosling’s has partnered with Moongate Brewing Co to expand the availability of the locally brewed beer across the island.

The wines and spirits firm became the St George's brewery’s official distributor this month.

A spokesman for Moongate said: “With Gosling’s’ established distribution network, experience and longstanding relationships within Bermuda’s hospitality industry, Moongate’s beers will reach more restaurants, bars, hotels and other establishments throughout the island.”

Moongate operates from the historic Queen’s Warehouse at Penno’s Wharf under the direction of Bermudian founders and brewers Rob Pantry and Zander Dill.

“Since opening, the brewery has developed a growing reputation as both a craft beer producer and a destination venue, combining locally brewed beer with live entertainment, community events, sporting occasions and the heritage of Bermuda's East End,” the spokesman said.

Moongate hoped the opportunity to work alongside an established Bermudian company like Gosling’s would provide invaluable support as the brewery enters its next stage of growth.

Moongate said this was an important step forward for the business, allowing more people across Bermuda to enjoy locally brewed, fresh beer.

“Gosling’s is an iconic Bermudian company with an extraordinary history and a wealth of experience within the local hospitality industry,” Moongate said. “To have their support as we grow is a significant vote of confidence in Moongate, our beers and the potential of Bermuda’s craft brewing industry.”

The brewery’s founders believe that expanding distribution will also strengthen the brewery’s contribution to the wider Bermudian economy.

“Increased production will support employment, create new opportunities for local partnerships and help establish locally brewed craft beer as a more prominent part of Bermuda’s hospitality and tourism offering,” Moongate said.

The brewery hopes the partnership will introduce Moongate to customers who may not yet have visited its St George’s taproom, while encouraging residents and visitors to explore the brewery and the wider East End.

“We are extremely proud to brew our beer in Bermuda,” the spokesman added. “Our goal has always been to build something that Bermuda can be proud of — not only a successful brewery, but a business that celebrates local talent, local history and the unique character of St George’s.”

Starting this month, establishments interested in serving Moongate beer will be able to order directly through Gosling’s distribution network.

The brewery will continue operating its taproom and events venue at Queen’s Warehouse, where customers can enjoy Moongate’s core beer range alongside seasonal and limited-edition releases.
