Residents and stakeholders in St George's have been warned of a temporary disruption to the government-provided flushing water supply on August 13 and 14.

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment said that the interruption is required to facilitate essential water and wastewater infrastructure upgrades.

It added that the work is necessary to reduce the risk of a significant system failure that could result in an extended loss of service.

Residents were advised that affected properties may include those on Redcoat Lane, Old Military Road, Barrack Close, Slippery Hill, St George’s Bus Depot, East End Primary School, Sunrise and Barrack condominiums and other nearby areas.

A ministry spokeswoman said: “The ministry recognises that some residences and buildings may be connected to the flushing water system but cannot be individually identified at this time.

“Any property that experiences a loss of service during the interruption is asked to contact the water and sewage section at water@gov.bm or 278-0570 and provide the property address, building type and a contact number.”
