BCB sponsors financial literacy summit
Bermuda Commercial Bank has signed on as a silver sponsor of the Lumina Festival’s 2026 Financial Literacy Summit.
The sponsorship level is reserved for organisations contributing at least $15,000, according to Lumina. The summit will be held at the National Museum of Bermuda in Dockyard on September 25, from 9am to 5pm.
Jaren Haley, BCB’s head of credit, will also join a panel titled “Owning Your Piece of the Rock: A Real Talk Guide to Buying in Bermuda”.
Andy Mielczarek, the bank’s chief executive, said: “Financial confidence starts with education, and we are proud to support initiatives like the 2026 Financial Literacy Summit that help make that possible.”
The programme is to include panels, workshops and interviews on entrepreneurship, digital finance and generational planning. Speakers will include the international keynote Armando Pantoja and local keynote Craig Bridgewater.
The summit follows Lumina’s inaugural event last year, which attracted more than 500 high school and college students, Department of Financial Assistance clients and other attendees. Organisers said the event addressed financial literacy and Bermuda’s widening wealth gap.
• Tickets start at $149 and are available through luminafest.com and ptix.bm
