Vantage names Tim Nunziata head of cyber
Tim Nunziata has joined Vantage Group Holdings as head of cyber insurance and global product leader.
The Bermudian re/insurer, which was acquired earlier this year by Howard Hughes Holdings in a $2.1 billion deal, announced that Mr Nunziata will report to Alex Blanco, chief executive, insurance, and has joined Vantage’s insurance leadership team.
As head of cyber insurance, Mr Nunziata will own the global cyber product strategy, underwriting guidelines, and portfolio performance for Vantage's cyber products, including annual planning, risk appetite, and pricing approach. He will partner closely with claims, actuarial, data, and analytics teams to drive profitable growth and disciplined underwriting, the company said in a statement.
Mr Nunziata joins Vantage from Nationwide, where he spent more than 15 years, most recently as vice-president, head of cyber-risk and commercial errors and omissions. His previous roles at Nationwide include director, division head of commercial E&O and cyber, and director of commercial D&O.
Earlier in his career, he was a senior Underwriter at The Navigators Group and an executive underwriter at The Hartford Financial Products.
“Tim is one of the most respected underwriters in the cyber market, with a track record of building disciplined teams, profitable portfolios, and strong broker relationships,” said Mr Blanco. “As we continue to grow our cyber franchise, his experience and leadership will be invaluable.”
Mr Nunziata said: “I'm excited to join Vantage at a pivotal moment for the cyber market. What drew me to Vantage is its culture of curiosity and its commitment to using data and technology to underwrite risk differently. I look forward to continuing to build a market-leading cyber franchise alongside Alex and the team.”
