Two potential court hearings have been set for a One Bermuda Alliance candidate accused of fighting police during an incident at a hotel in February.

John Seymour could face trial in Magistrates’ Court on November 24 or January 5, with the new dates set yesterday.

Mr Seymour pleaded not guilty to two counts of assaulting officers as they executed their duties, as well as violently resisting arrest.

The charges were tied to an alleged incident at Cambridge Beaches in Sandys.

His $10,000 bail, which included staying away from witnesses and the hotel, was extended.

Mr Seymour won 47 votes and came third in a three-way race when he stood as a candidate for the OBA in Pembroke East Central during the 2025 General Election.

The Progressive Labour Party’s Michael Weeks won with 443 votes, while the Free Democratic Movement’s Shermaine Riley-Murphy gained 53 votes.
