Seniors Expo

The Ministry of Youth, Social Development and Seniors invites the public to attend its 2026 Seniors Expo for a day of information and engagement. The event, which coincides with the United Nations International Day of Older Persons, aims to highlight the resources, services and opportunities available to support Bermuda’s older population. There will be presentations about topics such as healthy ageing, housing programmes, financial crime prevention and support services. The event is free and aims to bring together the community as we inform ourselves on the best way to support our ageing community. The event is free but registration is encouraged. Interested persons can register by calling 444-1480 or 444-1478.

Art in Motion

Bermuda Art Month returns for its fourth annual celebration of the island’s artistic community. It will kick off the series of events with Art in Motion, an immersive evening of art. The collaboration with Bermuda National Gallery and Bermuda Society of Arts is a curated experience designed to combine art, sound, taste and connection. Attendees will be able to across the gallery’s floors to enjoy artwork accompanied by live music and three distinctive bars provided by Gosling’s. Interested persons will also be able to speak with artists, collectors, creative and other members of the community. Half of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the supporting galleries and the other half will be donated to charity.

2026 Bermuda Biennial

The 2026 Bermuda Biennial, presented by the Bermuda National Gallery and sponsored by the Green family, is a triumph of local and international art. The exhibition has been staged since 1994 at the National Gallery, with half of this year’s submissions consisting of first-time participants. Their art, which will be displayed alongside established figures in the art community, leans into the theme of Bermuda’s origins. There is a focus on the island’s influence on Shakespeare’s play The Tempest, and ocean mythology. Artists present Bermudian history through a range of mediums.

Oktoberfest

Bermuda’s festival of all things beer and brats is back this weekend. Oktoberfest kicks off on Friday evening with additional events on the following weekend. Local beers and ales will be available to enjoy with traditional Oktoberfest dishes by Küchenchef Jonny Roberts. Headlining the event will be the celebrated bierkeller band Oompah Brass. Sip & Paint in the Caves

Continue your Bermuda Art Month celebration with an intimate painting lesson led by local artist Carlos Santana Dill in the enchanting Prospero Cave at the Grotto Bay Resort. During the evening of art and relaxation, attendees will receive a guided painting session in one of the island’s exclusive locations. Additionally, guests can enjoy complimentary wine throughout the evening.
