Compre promotes Davin Patel and Thuan Ho
Bermuda-domiciled international specialty reinsurance group Compre Group Holdings has promoted Davin Patel to chief risk officer, subject to the necessary governance and regulatory approvals, and Thuan Ho to chief actuary, pricing, pending immigration approval.
Mr Patel joined as one of Compre’s first actuaries in 2016 and has played a pivotal role in building its actuarial capabilities across reserving, capital management and underwriting due diligence, the company said.
He has led transaction due diligence activities across all actuarial disciplines, while developing Compre’s pricing capabilities to support increasingly sophisticated transaction structures across the specialty reinsurance sector.
As CRO, he will lead Compre's risk and compliance function and oversee the group’s enterprise risk management framework.
Mr Ho succeeds Mr Patel as chief actuary, pricing, from his current position as head of actuarial — M&A.
Since joining Compre in 2022, he has played a vital role in actuarial pricing and transaction due diligence.
He also led the development of Compre’s prospective pricing capabilities, supporting the new strategy and further strengthening the group’s ability to assess opportunities across the risk life cycle.
Mr Patel succeeds Brid Reynolds who resigned her position as CRO earlier this year. As an executive team member since 2021, Reynolds helped facilitate one of the most significant periods of growth in Compre’s history.
David Atkins, deputy CEO of Compre, said: “These appointments are an important step in ensuring we have the leadership capability and depth of expertise to deliver our ambitions for the future.”
