BSX climbs 1.12% for week

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged on 3,696.34 in the absence of trading on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
Over the trading week, the index gained 1.12 per cent, driven by rises in three stocks — Butterfield Bank (up 0.9 per cent), Allshores (up 3.7 per cent), and Watlington Waterworks (up 7.7 per cent).
Allshores was the most heavily traded stock, with 18,403 of the insurer’s shares changing hands over the five days. BSX volume for the week was 20,101 shares, while turnover totalled $605,393.65.
On the New York Stock Exchange today, Butterfield’s US-listed shares fell 35 cents, or 0.61 per cent, to close at $57.50 on below-average volume of 74,457 shares.
