Somerset Eagles erased a two-goal deficit to beat a plucky Vasco side 4-2 and preserve their unblemished start to the 2026-27 First Division campaign at Police Field on Sunday.

The Shield champions were forced to chase the game after the hosts jumped out to a 2-0 lead through goals from Lojan Viera and Felipe Pontes in the fourteenth and 28th minutes.

Eagles finally pulled one back in the 51st minute albeit with the help from Vasco’s Ludgero Soares, who scored an own goal.

Tahj Wade then equalised for the visitors in the 62nd minute before additional strikes from Dylan Arruda (73rd) and Makal Robinson (90th) secured the points.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Southampton Rangers got back to winning ways after edging hosts St David’s Warriors 1-0 at Lord’s courtesy of Jamar Franklin’s 43rd minute strike.

The remaining First Division encounter saw Wolves and Boulevard pick up their fist point of the season after battling to a 1-1 stalemate at Bernard Park on Saturday night.

Khiari Sharrieff Hayward put Wolves ahead in the fourth minute before Ernest Trott equalised for visiting Blazers in the 13th minute.

Hamilton Parish, who have rejoined the league after withdrawing last season, had a bye.
