Two motorists who drove their vehicles carelessly were fined $800 in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Hilda Vieira, 79, and Pablos Holman, 55, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention.

Holman, who lives in Seattle, Washington, committed the offence while driving a rental car on South Road, Smith’s, on October 28, while Vieira, from Warwick, drove a car carelessly in Paget, also on South Road, on January 8.

Further details on these cases were not read out in court.

In addition to the fines, Vieira and Holman had ten demerit points added to their licences.
