Second man charged in robbery

Pennyman, 24, of Crisson Avenue, appeared in Magistrates Court yesterday alongside Anthony Conroy Francis, 26, of Devonshire. They were jointly charged with robbing the bank of more than $20,000 last Friday afternoon while armed with a Fratelli handgun.

Pennyman and Francis were further charged together with possession of a Fratelli handgun with a barrel of less than 24 inches.

They were not required to plead to the indictable charges which must be tried in Supreme Court.

The bank robbery charge Francis faced alone on Wednesday was thrown out following the laying of new charges yesterday against him and Pennyman.

Francis was represented by Mr. Archie Warner while Pennyman's lawyer was Sen.

Larry Scott.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis remanded the pair in custody for one week to October 28 while their lawyers await certain papers.
