Former top Bear Stearns economist Ryder to speak at Bermuda conference
The outlook for the global economy will be the focus for a meeting hosted by Atlantica Intellectual Capital Ltd. next month.
The first ever Annual Global Financial Markets Outlook Conference is being held at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel on March 23 and is sponsored by the Ministry of Finance
It will feature presentations from John Ryding, partner of RDQ Economics in New York and former chief US economist at Bear Stearns Inc. and analyst at both the US Federal Reserve and the Bank of England and Cornelius Luca, vice-president and head of advisory at FX Concepts LLC in New York.
Other speakers taking part in the event Dr. Andrea Heuson, Professor of Finance at the University of Miami, a renowned expert on global real estate development and finance, and Bain Slack, a banking industry analyst at Keefe Bruyette and Woods Inc. The list of topics will include the outlook for the global capital markets, ranging from equities, debt/credit, currencies and commodities to real-estate, banking and hedge funds.
Atlantica Intellectual Capital, which is a conference, seminar, summit, and meeting marketing company, hopes the conference will put really Bermuda on the map in a bid to attract some of the top independent economic and financial experts and capital managers and administrators from both the Island's business community and the world at large. A total of 120 delegates are expected at the inaugural event.
The conference costs $600 per person, while sponsorship for the event is still available.
