BSX attempts to boost investment
evenings to get locals to invest in Bermudian companies.
The awareness events, called "Own your share of Bermuda'' are scheduled to begin on November 4, and will focus on the exchange's domestic market.
Joanne MacPhee, communications manger of the BSX said: "These events will be the first of their kind because they will focus entirely on the Bermuda's domestic market.
"In the past the exchange has offered a broader overview of investment opportunities, now we want to focus on investing in Bermuda.'' She added even though the exchange had been up and running since 1971, most Bermudians knew little about the BSX.
The first evening on November 5 will be held at the Leopard's Club on Cedar Avenue, Hamilton. On November 18 the tour will move to Somerset Cricket Club and December 2 will be held at St. George's Cricket Club. All events are held at 7.30 p.m.
