SOFTBALL SOF Commercial Softball League results of Sunday's play saw Anfossi and Butterfield beat Showbizz 14-6 in the opening game with Doug Tufts leading the way with a four-for-four performance. Teammate Jon Kook went four-for-four.
James Thomas led the losers with a four-for-four effort while Frank Staten helped by going two-for-four. Randy Kowch was the winning pitcher while Ursula Leckie suffered the loss.
Skandia Sabres edged International Risk Management 14-13 with Dave Ewings and Harold Hoeg both going two-for-four. Brett Kohl went five-for-five for the losers while Philippe Bacon went four-for-five. Rob Eastham was the winning pitcher and Todd Lahti the loser.
Marsh and McLennan defeated Kempe and Whittle 13-4 thanks to some fine batting by Steve Outerbridge and Nisala Weerasooriya who both went three-for-four.
Time Coope went three-for-three for the losers. Weerasooriya was the winning pitcher while David Alexander took the loss.

CRICKET CRI Training sessions during February for the senior national squad will now take place at St. David's Cricket Club starting this Saturday at 9.30 sharp.
Training for the under 19 squad, which is preparing for the International Youth Tournament this Summer in Denmark, will continue on Saturday at 9.30 at Berkeley school field.
Meanwhile the annual general meeting of the Bermuda Cricket Board of Control will be held at Warwick Workmen's Club next Wednesday starting at 7.30pm.
