Woman admits prowling
A 20-year-old woman has admitted to prowling and receiving stolen goods valued at $375.Sediqua Darrell, of Souza Estate Road, pleaded guilty in Magistrates’ Court yesterday to knowingly possessing a stolen iPod touch and iPod nano.The Devonshire woman also admitted to unlawfully prowling around the house of Carlos Lopes on August 27.Prosecutor Kenlyn Swan said the defendant was spotted entering the yard and looking around suspiciously with another man. Police went to Darrell’s home on August 28 and found electronics and jewellery in her possession, including the two stolen iPods.In a police interview, Darrell admitted accepting the iPods from another man whom she knew committed burglaries and admitted to breaking and entering with him.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner adjourned the case until September 20 for sentencing. The defendant was released on $2,000 bail and a social inquiry report was ordered.
