possessing and handling over $32,000 worth of cocaine with intent to supply.

Barry Stanley Wellman 38, and Verna Lee Walker 34, of Kitty's Drive Hamilton Parish denied the charges that were alleged to have occurred on December 28, 1992.

Police searched the apartment during the early morning hours and allegedly found two plastic bags under the front passenger seat of Walker's Mitsubishi Colt.

Both plastic bags each contained three smaller bags containing a white powder that was later analysed and found to be varying purities of cocaine.

Police also siezed a larger bag of white powder from the fridge, but this was found to be cassava flour.

The trial continues today.
