Moura & Associates has formed a partnership with one of the world’s largest real estate agency’s Keller Williams.

The move is set to bring greater global reach and improved technology and training for the island-based agency, which started in 2003.

The company has rebranded as Keller Williams Bermuda, and will continue to specialise in the sale and lease of residential and commercial properties on the island.

Albert Moura, owner and chief executive officer of Moura & Associates, built the boutique real estate agency. He felt it time to change the business model and provide more support to his agents to be “more in line” with his belief. After a three-year search he decided that American-based Keller Williams was a global company aligned with those beliefs.

“With Keller Williams’s models and systems and training, our agents will be the some of the most educated, productive and motivated in Bermuda. They will be equipped with all the best business tools in real estate,” said Mr Moura.

In a statement, the company said: “With education at the forefront, Keller Williams Bermuda will be able to take advantage of in-house training, coaching and productivity coaching, with all materials supplied by Keller Williams under the auspices of a team leader.

“In addition, agents are able to attend one of two annual conventions, the larger of which attracts up to 18,000 agents and takes place in a different location every year. Accreditation is also available for KW Bermuda agents and, as the company is already a member of the Luxury Division, they will be given even more global exposure.”

Along with a number of other franchise owners, Moura is part of the Keller Williams’ “Innovation Lab”, providing direction on new processes that they would like to see. The Lab is currently working on a global listings platform being launched in the early part of this year.

Looking to the future, Keller Williams Bermuda intends to grow from its current count of eight agents, with a view to encouraging new or experienced real estate agents to join the team, “regardless of whether they’ve been in the business for 40 years or none at all”.

Mr Moura added: “We look forward to continuing to provide exceptional service to our customers. What is now different is that we are operating under the umbrella of an organisation that can take us into the future with evolving technology and superior educational support.”

Keller Williams is the world’s largest real estate franchise by agent count, with 173,000 professional agents in over 30 countries and regions. As part of the new franchise agreement, the company has rebranded to Keller Williams Bermuda and will continue to specialise in the sale and lease of residential and commercial properties on the island.

William Soteroff, president of Keller Williams Worldwide, the international division of Keller Williams, said: “We are so proud to welcome KW Bermuda into our growing worldwide family. Utilising our systems and models, agents in Bermuda will be better able to expand their business opportunities while serving their clients at the highest level.”

Keller Williams Bermuda has offices in the Frederick W. Clipper Building on Berry Hill Road, Paget.
