AXIS names Greenfield CFO
named to replace former chief financial officer Andrew Cook, 43.
When he joins in the third quarter, Mr. Greenfield will also become part of the company?s executive management group and report directly to John Charman, chief executive officer and president of AXIS Capital.
Mr. Charman said he was delighted that the company had attracted such a highly respected and seasoned professional to the position.
Mr. Greenfield spent the last 22 years at KPMG LLP where he has been a partner for the past decade. He most recently served as Global Sector Chair for Insurance and as a member of KPMG?s Global Financial Services Leadership Team and was also lead partner for several of KPMG?s largest insurance clients.
His leadership responsibilities at KPMG have included international client development and management over teams of partners and staff globally.

Thresh to join KPMG

Mr. Thresh will be joining after five years with Tawa Management Limited, a leading advisory and acquisition company for insurance run off based in London. Prior to joining Tawa, he earned his CA with PwC and left the firm as a director.

Julius Nigg, owner of Surf and Turf, would not respond to inquiries about whether any efforts have been made to secure a new location but it is believed that the restaurant has up to six weeks to find a new venue or until the new owners of the premises decide to move in.
