The Ocean View Golf Course restaurant closed its doors yesterday following a decision by Flying Chef Catering Service to cancel its contract to run the restaurant.

Flying Chef owner Sarah Masters said: ?It wasn?t feasible for us to operate the restaurant as it wasn?t making any money.?

Flying Chef had operated the restaurant for one year before it decided to terminate its contract.

It is not known how the restaurant will be closed but the Board of Trustees of the Ocean View Golf Course have decided to re-tender the contract.

Ocean View manager Marie Johnson said: ?The closure is bound to inconvenience patrons and members but we are doing our best to select the right individual or individuals to run the restaurant.

?We will re-open the restaurant as soon as we have made the appropriate selection as we want a good fit for Ocean Vew.?

The concession to operate the restaurant was advertised in April and closing date for tender applications was May 16.
