Candy sense for Halloween
Halloween is almost a week away and so both you and your children will be exposed to more candy than normal. If you can manage to just look and not eat it, you’ll be in the best possible shape.Really the only bad thing in candy is the sugar. The problem is, candy is pretty much sugar and very little else.Christopher Allington, of Positive Image Dental, has suggested that if you must eat candy, that you, and your children, try to steer clear of the sorts that linger in the mouth.Sticky sweets that cling to your teeth and lollipops and candy canes that you may suck for long periods of time, present the most problem. This is because the sugar stays in the mouth and even more damaging physically on the teeth.Dr Allington says when eating candy it’s best to clean your mouth as soon after eating the candy as possible.Of course the best scenario is not to eat candy or other sweet things at all. And it is possible.Maybe this Hallowe’en you could give the children carrot sticks they’re orange, that’s Halloweeny. Don’t you think?Personally I never give out candy it’s popcorn and water bombs. Sometimes I hand out balloons, which the children always enjoy.
