Jill Asbel wants a new hospital for Bermuda. Healthcare facilities and quality of service are paramount for her as a cardiac patient.Ndavyah Williams believes we need a new hospital because the one we have is too small.Tobi Malk is excited because she will work in the new hospital.Such are the testimonials from participants in the Bermuda Hospitals Board Charitable Trust’s Why it Matters campaign.Campaign organisers are setting up pop-up photo booths around the Island where residents can have their picture taken and tell the community why they’re excited about the new hospital opening in 2014.The campaign was launched in April of last year to raise $40 million dollars in support of the KEMH Redevelopment Project. Over the past year, BHCT has hosted a series of activities and information sessions to create awareness and a level of understanding among the local and international business sectors. All participants will be included in campaign promotions featuring people who have donated and those who have been impacted or seen the need to have care close to home.A pop-up booth will be set up at the World Rugby Classic today between 6pm and 9pm.Visit www.whyitmatters.bm to view portraits, read testimonials or donate funds for the new hospital.
