WELLNESS WARRIOR Healer Queen Afua to lecture in Bermuda

The creator of a fasting regimen and a wealth management specialist will be part of a health seminar this month.

Queen Afua’s Liberation Thru Purification 21-day fasting programme has been followed by celebrities like Stevie Wonder, Vanessa Williams, Erykah Badu and Iyanla Vazant. It has met with much acclaim from many who have used it. Lifestyle coach, Tina Christopher is among its advocates (see also Queen Afua Helped Heal Me — a personal story).

A self-proclaimed wellness warrior, Queen Afua will be on the Island to help people regain their good health and not rely on prescription medication.

She has been a natural health practitioner for more than 35 years and owns The Queen Afua Wellness Institute, which features a wellness clinic, as well as classes and training in some of her healing modalities. Her famous fasting programme features her herbal remedies which are also available at the Institute.

Queen Afua is also an author. She is best known for her first book ‘Heal Thyself’ and for her fifth, the most recent, ‘Overcoming An Angry Vagina’.

She will be one of the presenters at the Health, Wealth & Wellness seminar organised by Lifestyle Education Services.

Queen Afua will begin her lecture at 7pm followed by Wealth Management specialist Ellis Liddell. She will also be conducting one-on-one consultations on Saturday, January 19. These in-depth consultations will be $99 and will include Queen Afua’s book, ‘Heal Thyself’, and well as Mr Liddell’s book, ‘Merging Faith with Finance’.

Mr Liddell will lecture on building wealth using a group dynamic.

“We recognise that financial stability goes hand-in-hand with your health,” said seminar organiser Ms Christopher.

Lack of finances can affect mental health, it may be the cause of depression, lack of self-confidence or anxiety. It has a great bearing on physical health as lack of funds can lead to poor nutrition, poor medical care and poor treatment.

“Mr Liddell is particularly well known for his ability to put complex financial information in plain easy-to-understand terms for the average person-in-the-street,” said Ms Christopher.

“We know that it can be difficult to rely on our savings. He will show us how to create long money — making investments so the money can grow over time,” she added.

“He will show us how once you have your health, you can create a stable inheritance for your family.”

The Health, Wealth & Wellness seminar will take place at the New Testament Church of God, Heritage Worship Centre on Dundonald Street in Hamilton on Friday, January 18. Doors open at 6:30pm and the cost is $40. For more information contact Tina Christopher on 599-8909.

Fresh is best: Lifestyle coach Tina Christopher is back on her wellness path and she says fresh fruits and vegetables are an integral part. Here she checks a bunch of bananas in her small garden patch.
