About 2.45pm

Time:

Opposite St Monica's Church on St Monica's Road, Pembroke.

Location:

Two men on a motorcycle drove past a group of males, including Mr Robinson and his best friend Mikey Adams, spraying bullets directly at them as they passed. The men approached from The Glebe Road.

What happened:

A single gunshot wound to the torso.

Victim died from:

Mr Adams, 26, was shot in the chest, the bullet lodging just two inches from his heart. He has since recovered from his injuries and is understood to have moved overseas.

Other casualties:

A .40 calibre semi-automatic gun, used seven months later in the murder of 42 gang member Kumi Harford and in the January 2010 murder of Perry Puckerin, has been linked to this attack, as well as other shootings. It has not been recovered.

Weapon:

Two brown-skinned men on a red, white and black motorcycle, possibly a Honda Air Blade. One was said to be 6ft tall. Both wore dark helmets with full face visors.

Description of suspects:

Police believe the double shooting was carried out by Parkside in connection with an ongoing rivalry between the two groups.

Alleged motive:

While police were attending the murder scene, there were confirmed reports of gunfire in the Middletown area of Pembroke but no one was injured. The next morning three people were shot and injured on Court Street. Cervio Cox, a 42 follower, was convicted of being an accomplice to the triple attack and jailed for seven years in May 2010.

Retaliatory attacks:

Five men arrested. All were bailed pending further inquiries.

Arrests:

Police need to hear from anyone who was in or around the area of St Monica's Road between 2pm and 3pm on May 22, 2009 or who saw two males on a bike matching the above description.
