Restaurant group and gas firm thank Covid-19 staff
A hospitality group has teamed up with a gas company to give restaurant vouchers to essential workers who helped tackle the Covid-19 crisis.
The Little Venice Group and Bermuda Gas will hand out the $10 vouchers to medical personnel, the Royal Bermuda Regiment and Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service staff.
A spokeswoman for the restaurant group said: “The Little Venice Group is very grateful for the dedicated service provided by all essential workers.
“Earlier, we had the opportunity to provide meals to hospital workers, so when we met with Bermuda Gas to discuss this collaboration it was important to also recognise other important essential workers who have been working nonstop throughout this pandemic.”
The vouchers can be used at Cafe4, L'Oriental Express, La Trattoria, Little Venice and L'Oriental restaurant, all Hamilton.
A spokesman for Bermuda Gas said: “Since the onset of the pandemic in March, this has been a difficult and challenging time for everyone.
“Bermuda’s ability to manage this period was ably assisted by several different essential workers who continued to provide resources to the community as we battled this deadly COVID-19 pandemic during both the shelter-in-place and the phased recovery process towards a new normal.
“Their contribution has not been forgotten and their contribution continues to this present day.
“Bermuda Gas would like to recognise their dedication and demonstrate our gratitude to these essential workers.”
