Burglars strike

Two burglaries were reported in different parishes on Wednesday.<t$>In the late afternoon Police were called to Meadow Lane in Devonshire where a resident said that, sometime between 7 a.m. and 4.05 p.m., an unknown person had gained entry to the home and stolen several food items, an unknown amount of coins and a black Motorola cell phone.
Two burglaries were reported in different parishes on Wednesday.
Later the same evening officers attended a report of a separate break-in at Berkeley Mews, Pembroke, which is thought to have occurred sometime between October 22 and October 25 while the resident was off the Island.
Coins worth $20 were stolen during the burglary. Police inquiries into both incidents are underway.
