Your passport, please!

Americans returning home from Bermuda will now need a passport following a tightening of security.<br><br>In the past they only needed a photo ID. That has now changed. The US Department of State has issued new rules to strengthen border protection.<br><br>Under the new regulations, US nationals will have to show passports when returning home from the Caribbean, Panama, Canada and Mexico as well as Bermuda.

The US Department of State has issued new rules to strengthen border protection.Under the new regulations, US nationals will have to show passports when returning home from the Caribbean, Panama, Canada and Mexico as well as Bermuda.Additionally, Bermudians, Canadians and Mexicans will also be required to present their passports in order to enter the US.The new travel initiative in relation to Bermuda will take full effect by the end of the year. The State Department has set a December 31 deadline.
