One Communications trench work means lane closures

Lane closures on roads in Paget and Smith’s will be needed next week for One Communications to carry out trench work, the Government announced today.

A notice from the Ministry of Public Works said an area near 72 Harbour Road, Paget, between the Chapel Road and Valley Road junctions, would be affected on Monday and Tuesday.

Another lane closure will take place on Harrington Sound Road, Smith’s, between the junctions at Harrington Hundreds Road and Odyssey Drive.

A notice said those trench works would run from August 28 to 31.

Working hours at each location will be from 8am to 6pm daily.

Invisible Trenching representatives will manage traffic at the sites.

The lane closure notices said: “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the public's full co-operation and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.”

Any questions can be directed to Carolina Orellana, a highways designer for the ministry, at 501-3031.
