Increased military aviation activity in and from the airport can be expected over the coming months, the Governor has advised residents.

Rena Lalgie assured the public that the activity was under the terms of a longstanding agreement between Britain and the United States dating back to 2017.

She said: “It is a demonstration of the high level of ongoing co-operation between the US, the UK and Bermuda which provides for our ongoing security.

“The Royal Bermuda Regiment will be engaged in providing logistics support to the US military throughout this period.

“I have no doubt that the US service personnel will be provided a warm welcome around the island.”
