The RG/BSX Index rose 41.97 (1.55 per cent) to 2,694.31 for the week, driven by the Bank of N.T. Butterfield Ltd volume of 13,695.
The bank stock finished the week up 75 cents (1.9 per cent) at $40.25.
Meanwhile, in New York, Butterfield stock was up nine cents (0.22 per cent) to $41.09 at the close of the New York Stock Exchange.
