Sesame Workshop racks up 16 Daytime Emmy nominations
Under the guidance of Bermudian CEO Mel Ming, the Sesame Workshop — the non-profit charity responsible for Sesame Street and other Sesame initiatives — has received 16 Daytime Emmy nominations.
“Sesame Street is honoured to be leading the pack of children’s programs with the most nominations!” read a statement released on the charity’s website this morning.
Sesame Street’s cast, crew, and creative team were recognised in 11 categories:
Outstanding Pre-School Children’s Series
Outstanding New Approaches — Enhancement to a Daytime Program or Series
Outstanding Performer in a Children’s Series
Outstanding Writing in a Children’s Series
Outstanding Directing in a Children’s Series
Outstanding Achievement in Lighting Direction
Outstanding Achievement in Multiple Camera Editing
Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing — Live Action
Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing — Live Action
Outstanding Original Song
Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design/Styling
